Help for Heroes (H4H) has benefitted from a £12,000 fundraising drive by the Palletways Group.
The logistics firm – which is based in Lichfield and has been in operation since 1994 – held a charity ball to collect cash, Materials Handling World Magazine reports.
Over 120 tickets were sold for the event, which featured a raffle and an auction in order to generate as much capital as possible for the charity.
Among the prizes on offer were a trip to the Houses of Parliament for high tea and a meal for two at Heston Blumenthal's restaurant in London.
An excursion on a Palletways dragon-shaped hot air balloon was also offered, which features the only glass-bottomed basket in the UK.
Royal Naval Petty Officer Andy Gibbs is also in the middle of a fundraising challenge for H4H and the man has already covered over 400 miles in long-distance walking challenges in the UK.
