I've heard some bizarre titles for a book in my time, but Cooking with Poo has to be the worst.
Thai author Saiyuud Diwong has penned the manuscript and it has been nominated for the Diagram Prize for Oddest Book Title of the Year from The Bookseller.
When translated into Ms Diwong's own language however, the tome does not seem so crude, as poo means crab in Thai, but I'm sure that will not be enough to stop a few people laughing.
Other seemingly strange offers are Estonian Sock Patterns All Around the World, The Great Singapore Penis Panic: And the Future of American Mass Hysteria and The Mushroom in Christian Art.
The accolade has been running since 1978 and Philip Stone, the prize administrator, observed: "Despite the global economic turmoil, publishers continue to invest in imaginative, diverse and niche publications and this award wonderfully reflects that."
People will be able to find out who the winner is on March 30th.
