A woman is looking to get in touch with penpals she had during the second world war.
Ann Taft worked at a factory in Oldham where the Lancaster Bombers were made during the fighting, the Carmarthen Journal reports.
She ended up corresponding to a number of armed forces members she met while working as a shorthand typist at the building.
"As the lads left to go into the forces they used to write to all the girls. I was writing to the air force, the marines and other services," Ms Taft observed.
She got particularly friendly with a group of people from a Welsh regiment and would love to reconnect with them.
People who are keen to keep in contact with British soldiers serving in Iraq and Afghanistan can become their penpals, as the personal touch of letter writing is a great way to boost the morale of troops.
