When it comes to females, they employ a number of different ways to attract the opposite sex.
Flirting is part and parcel of the game, however, I never thought I would see a giant panda employing these methods.
Sweetie – who is on loan from the Chinese government to Edinburgh Zoo – has been seen giving amorous glances to her male counterpart Sunshine.
The zoo hopes the two creatures mate and have some pandas of their own and this doesn't look like it's going to be a problem.
Edinburgh Zoo chief executive Hugh Roberts told the Metro that: "She calls out for him but, when he looks over, she pretends not to be interested and he wanders off to start eating again."
He added this shows that the two animals are interested in each other and so some baby making could well be on the cards.
All they need now is some candles, ambient lighting and a bit of Barry White on in the background.
