A school in Morpeth is to host a charity dinner to raise money for Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association (SSAFA) Forces Help.
It is being held at Morpeth Town Hall on Thursday (November 17th) and comes after Remembrance Day was held four days previously.
According to the Morpeth Herald, the event is priced at £15 per person and it is hoped people will donate as much cash as possible.
A hog roast – plus numerous vegetarian options – will be on offer, while attendees are also set to be entertained by King Edward VI School pupils.
It is hoped the event will go some way to showing the community's support for the work of military personnel from the UK.
SSAFA Forces Help currently assists 50,000 people every 12 months and has been in operation for more than 100 years, with both current and ex-servicemen and women covered by the organisation.
