A woman who has climbed Mount Kilimanjaro has hit her target of thousands of pounds that have been raised for Help for Heroes.
Sally Wilson, 42, scaled the African peak as part of a group of 19 who went on a two-week trek and has made it to her £15,500 mark.
Speaking to the Wokingham Times, she said: "We have returned as a family of friends who have shared a once in a lifetime experience."
Ms Wilson added she is "over the moon" to have been able to raise so much money for Help for Heroes as a result of the trip.
She is now planning to take on a number of new challenges in the coming months, including a trek down the Inca Trail in Peru and the 2012 London Marathon.
Earlier this month, 91-year-old Allen Birch collected £2,000 for Help for Heroes by climbing Mount Snowdon, reported the Kidderminster Shuttle.
