A young army penpal shows soldiers how much support she has for them by participating in concerts and playing a range of musical instruments.
Schoolgirl Ally Crowley-Duncan and her mother both write to troops to give something back for the work they are doing, Fox23news.com reports.
Bagpipes are just one of the instruments the youngster has mastered and she travels around the US playing to various audiences.
Her mother Justine had friends serving in Iraq and says this was when they both struck up correspondence with a range of penpals.
"They are protecting our freedom. We are indebted and this is the only way we know to give back," Justine Crowley-Duncan states.
Ally also had the opportunity to welcome servicemen and women home from the front line and says this is a very "touching experience".
Holly Cannon-Taylor from Thatcham is also writing to soldiers to show her support and she is organising a fundraising event to earn donations for Help for Heroes, Newbury Today reported.
