Brave UK soldiers reunited with families

A group of brave British soldiers have returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan to enjoy an emotional reunion with their friends and families.

Members of the 1st Battalion The Royal Welsh returned to Chester after five months fighting on the frontline in the Nad-e-Ali district, the BBC reported.

And the 550-member troop certainly made their mark on the Afghanistan effort by discovering the biggest improvised explosive device in the entire history of the UK army during their five-month tour of duty.

However, that is not all the soldiers achieved during their time on the frontline. Lieutenant Colonel Nick Lock explained: "Schools have been re-opened and planning has begun to refurbish schools that had been destroyed by the Taliban in the past."

Similarly, members of 3rd Battalion The Rifles recently enjoyed an emotional reunion with their nearest and dearest as they returned to Edinburgh after losing 30 of their comrades during their time based in Helmand province.
