Help for Heroes is to receive a boost thanks to a silent auction being held in its honour.
The event is to take place at the Stallion Showcase at Addington Manor and will include stud fees for a number of famous animals, HorseAndHound.co.uk reports.
These include Unbelievable Darco, Weston Juice and Don VHP Z, among others – as well as other prizes such as a Hickstead membership.
At least 35 lots will be up for auction and Shirley Light, organiser of the event, said: "The response from stallion owners has been very impressive."
Bidders will have to fill in a slip with their details, name of the auction lot and the amount they are willing to part with to be in with a shot of bagging a prize.
The Biggleswade Today recently reported that Stotfold local resident Bridget Smith is to organise a special dance night at Stotfold Memorial Hall in an effort to generate cash for Help for Heroes.
