A group of 20 men are to pull a double-decker bus for one mile through London city centre to raise money for Veteran's Aid.
Ten police officers and ten armed force members will take part in the initiative, which will see the vehicle dragged from the Cenotaph in Parliament Street to The Grosvenor Hotel, the Waltham Forest Guardian reports.
Sergeant Dave Johns has organised the stunt – which is taking place on November 6th – and he is looking for celebrities to be in the bus when it is being pulled.
"This will be quite a sight in the centre of London and we've asked some well-known people to support us," he added.
Dr Hugh Milroy, chief executive of Veteran's Aid – which helps homeless ex-servicemen and women – said: "We are bowled over by this gesture."
He remarked members of his organisation will be cheering on the 20 brave souls who will be dragging the bus.
