An ex-soldier is taking part in a charity bike ride to raise money for Talking2Minds.

Craig Mulqueeney had been a member of the 1st Battalion Grenadier Guards for ten years before leaving recently, the Leigh Reporter stated.

After struggling with post traumatic stress disorder, he took a four-day course with the third sector group to help him piece his life back together.

In recognition of what the organisation did for Mr Mulqueeney, he has arranged the bike ride, which will take place on October 30th.

"I have been through a bad time and the only reason I got through it is because of Talking2Minds, so I want to say a big thank you to them. I hope to raise £1,500," he stated.

Mr Mulqueeney's commitment comes after ex-servicemen Stewart Campbell and Steve Kenneford – alongside their colleague Alan Milenkovic – climbed Snowdon as many times as they could in 24 hours to collect money for the charity.
