{"id":1986,"date":"2013-01-31T09:50:22","date_gmt":"2013-01-31T09:50:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?1986"},"modified":"2013-01-31T09:50:22","modified_gmt":"2013-01-31T09:50:22","slug":"man-surfs-78ft-monster-wave","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/blog\/man-surfs-78ft-monster-wave\/","title":{"rendered":"Man surfs 78ft monster wave"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Garrett McNamara has successfully surfed a wave that has been measured at 78 ft.<\/p>\n<p> The American took down the monster wave off the coast of Portugal and experts are now looking to verify the feat to see if it is indeed a world record.<\/p>\n<p>When asked about the experience by ABC, Mr McNamara&nbsp;&ndash; who holds the current mark for riding the highest wave &ndash; compared it to snowboarding on a giant mountain as he ended up going so fast.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;You're just chattering, flying down this bumpy, bumpy mountain. Your brain is getting rattled. Your whole body is getting rattled,&quot; he added.<\/p>\n<p>While it sounds like great fun, I wouldn't recommend anyone to just take up the sport and try to take down a wave this size.<\/p>\n<p>Mr
