Work on a brand new Help for Heroes recovery centre, funded in part by cash donations from readers of the Sun, has begun this week, the newspaper has reported.
The Colchester centre, worth £6.5 million, is designed to help injured soldiers returning from conflicts with every step of recovery, right through to getting back on their feet and finding new work.
As well as the Essex treatment centre, three more recovery facilities are to be built in Catterick, North Yorkshire, Plymouth, Devon, and Tidworth in Hampshire.
Speaking to the Sun, founder of soldiers' charity Help for Heroes Bryn Parry said: "This first recovery centre will see a totally revolutionary way of dealing with injured servicemen and women."
Meanwhile, Welsh sixth formers Sasha Morgan and Christina Brown are planning a charity skydive in May to raise money for Help for Heroes, local news source the Barry and District News recently reported.
