A darts star, snooker ace and pool legend will join forces this weekend in an event to support soldiers<\/a> and raise funds for Help for Heroes.<\/p>\n

Martin Adams, Joe Perry and Andy Lucas are joining the 24-hour pool marathon at March Royal British Legion Club on Saturday (May 28th), the Cambs Times reports.<\/p>\n

It will see ordinary members of the body test their skills against the pros, with each of the lengthy matches sponsored to earn money for the charity.<\/p>\n

Representative Paul Larham said: "We want to create a bit more awareness about Help for Heroes and make sure that it's never forgotten."<\/p>\n

Alongside the tournament there will be a charity auction to boost funds, as well as other surprise activities.<\/p>\n

The charity recently announced it is financing a new rehabilitation centre for injured troops in Plymouth, which will take over from the temporary Davenport base and is set to open in 2012.<\/p>\n
