{"id":785,"date":"2011-02-16T17:04:19","date_gmt":"2011-02-16T17:04:19","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?785"},"modified":"2011-02-16T17:04:19","modified_gmt":"2011-02-16T17:04:19","slug":"young-investors-raise-help-for-heroes-cash","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/young-investors-raise-help-for-heroes-cash\/","title":{"rendered":"Young investors raise Help for Heroes cash"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A group of intrepid pupils from Bishop Fox's Community School in Taunton have raised hundreds of pounds for Help for Heroes during an enterprise day.<\/p>\n<p>Groups of year nine children at the school were given &pound;400 to invest and test their entrepreneurial skills and successfully managed to turn their cash into &pound;650.<\/p>\n<p>A cheque for &pound;250 was then sent to Help for Heroes. Speaking to This is the West Country, Richard Lupton from the charity said that the event was the kind of activity &quot;at the heart&quot; of what the cause is about.<\/p>\n<p>Assistant head at the school Steve Summerill said that the social enterprise day is &quot;an important aspect&quot; of the school's curriculum.<\/p>\n<p>Toddlers from Park Day nursery in Runcorn recently helped raise more than &pound;100 for Help for Heroes by taking part in a charity assault course of hoops, tunnels and tyres, local news source Runcorn and Widnes World reported.<\/p>\n<p>Posted by Mark Wilkins<br>
