A group of toddlers from the Park Day Nursery in Runcorn have taken part in a charity obstacle course to raise money for soldier's charity Help for Heroes.

According to local news source Runcorn and Widnes World, the children – dressed as soldiers – enjoyed a day of crawling through tunnels, climbing though hoops and leaping over tyres.

In total, the infants, some aged as young as two, raised more than £100 for Help for Heroes.

Speaking to the source, early years practitioner Linzi Theobold from Weston Point said that the day was organised with the support of parents, who provided the soldier's outfits.

"We thought this was a great cause to raise money for. Families have been very supportive," she said.

A group of cadets from Hopwood Hall recently raised more than £1,000 for Help for Heroes by hosting a charity sponge throw and money collection day at a local shopping centre.
