Help for Heroes is to receive a cash injection after a group of friends signed up to take part in a death-defying challenge to raise money for the charity.<\/p>\n
The team from recruitment company e-Response will try their luck at the Tough Guy contest, which is a large assault course that includes numerous extreme obstacles for participants to navigate, the Redditch Advertiser reports.<\/p>\n
These challenges include endurance runs coupled with blockades such as electric fences.<\/p>\n
Warren Dowler is one of the fundraisers taking part and he revealed those involved have to sign a death warrant before they can join up.<\/p>\n
He said: "Last year 600 people got hospitalised, but it's for Help for Heroes, so we're just trying to raise as much as possible really."<\/p>\n
The Scarborough Evening News recently reported members of the Scarborough emergency services will be taking part in a Help for Heroes fundraising night at the region's newly-refurbished Barbican bar.<\/p>\n
