A total of £1 million could be collected for troops injured in battle as a result of the fundraising efforts of one Bromham woman.<\/p>\n
El Tawil has pledged to drive the 1,000-mile length of Britain using carriage horses in support of Help for Heroes, This is Wiltshire reports.<\/p>\n
The paramedic was inspired to make the trek after meeting wounded soldiers who were training in the local area.<\/p>\n
She said: "I salute all those involved with Horses Help Heroes … I urge everyone to support them in whatever way they can."<\/p>\n
The group will take a replica First World War ambulance from Land's End to John O' Groats this summer, starting with 20 horses including two of her own, Molly and Rosie.<\/p>\n
Ms Tawil is not the only one hoping to raise cash for the charity, as Damien English, a motorcycle rider, has decided to travel 300 miles between Portsmouth and Paris on a bicycle to raise more than £2,000, the Petersfield Post recently stated.
