Brave soldiers wounded while serving their country are to be lent support from some four-legged friends.<\/p>\n
A team of RAF Police and their military working dogs from RAF Lyneham are heading off on a sponsored march in an effort to raise funds for the Help for Heroes cause, This is Wiltshire reports.<\/p>\n
The walk is taking place following the success of a similar event held last year and proceeds will be split between the military charity and Children's Hospice South West.<\/p>\n
Each participant is to be weighed down by a 15 kg rucksack and will be required to carry a replica L85 rifle throughout the challenge.<\/p>\n
The fundraiser is to take place tomorrow (December 4th) and the team is hoping to complete the journey – which stretches from Tedworth House in Tidworth to RAF Lyneham – in a record ten hours.<\/p>\n
A night of white collar boxing was recently staged at the Emirates stadium in an attempt to generate funds for the Help for Heroes cause.<\/p>\n
