on a date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Looking good should be one of the top priorities for single soldiers heading out for a first meeting with a prospective partner they have contacted through online dating.<\/p>\n<p>This is because Felicity Fox, writing for Your Local Guardian, suggested women are always eager to see whether a man takes pride in his appearance.<\/p>\n<p>The expert noted: &quot;First impressions really do count on a first date, so take the time to do a bit of self-preening.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Ms Fox explained she was once pleased to see a man she was meeting for a first date had made an effort, even if this simply involved sporting a clean shirt and good shoes.<\/p>\n<p>It is also important to show decent manners, the reporter observed, adding dating etiquette should also be adhered to &ndash;
