A pair of teenagers are throwing an extravagant get-together in an effort to raise funds for troops injured while serving for their country.<\/p>\n
Laura Keeley – an 18-year-old riding instructor – and her friend Meg Lewis are organising a black-tie ball to take place in January that they hope will generate cash for the Help for Heroes cause, the Bourne Local reports.<\/p>\n
The pair said they were inspired to create the event after attending a similar spectacle last year and discovering there were no plans to repeat the party.<\/p>\n
It will include a three-course dinner and auction and is a strictly over-18s-only affair.<\/p>\n
Ms Keeley commented: "Both my grandfathers were in the forces and I have friends who are currently serving. I just think Help for Heroes is such a worthy cause."<\/p>\n
Member of boyband The Wanted Nathan Sykes recently told This is Gloucestershire his favourite gig with the group was at the Help for Heroes concert recently held at Twickenham Stadium.<\/p>\n
