Staff at Romans Lettings took part in a fundraiser that took place across two days and involved 16 employees from various branches, Get Reading reports.<\/p>\n
Participants were set the challenge of cycling for two hours a day in a relay that was held on three exercise bikes.<\/p>\n
The team managed to clock up a combined distance of 1,096 miles, surpassing their initial target of 837 miles – which is the equivalent of the distance between Land's End and John O'Groats.<\/p>\n
Joel Osbourne, lettings manager at the organisation, said: "We raised over £1,600 for Help for Heroes, a fantastic charitable cause that we’re delighted to support."<\/p>\n
Brigadier Andrew Williams recently heaped praise on Help for Heroes fundraiser Denise Bennett, who has managed to collect nearly £3,000 for the charity through organising coffee mornings and raffles, the Nottingham Post reported.<\/p>\n
