An army mother has designed a new greetings card to raise money for Help for Heroes.

Karen Dickson created The Flower of Hope card and noted she wanted to come up with a product that can serve a number of purposes, the BBC reports.

The designer noted she often photographs flowers and revealed she selected the pink tulip for her item because of its symbolism for caring, well-wishes and happiness.

She explained 100 per cent of all net profits will go to the organisation for injured troops.

"I just think that they're such a fantastic charity and it seems to be in people's hearts at the moment," Ms Dickson observed.

The craftswoman added she will be sending one of the cards out to her son for his next birthday.

A week-long exhibition in honour of World War I poet Wilfred Owen is being held at Southport Art Gallery from October 31st to help generate funds for Help for Heroes, the Midweek Advertiser recently reported.
