A marathon runner from Wiltshire hopes to support armed forces personnel by completing 100 marathons in 100 days.<\/p>\n
Mike Buss is nearing his target and is already eyeing up his next challenge, This Is Wiltshire reported.<\/p>\n
The 36-year-old completed his 96th 26.2-mile run on a treadmill in Aldershot this week and the final event will be held in Birmingham on September 23rd.<\/p>\n
He is raising money for Help for Heroes to support troops injured while fighting for their country.<\/p>\n
"I'm tired and very heavy legged, but my body is good," said Mr Buss – a former Royal Green Jacket.<\/p>\n
Aiming to raise around £50,000 for the armed forces charity, the next challenge will see Mr Buss head to Nevada's Death Valley for a further 100 marathons.<\/p>\n
Marathon runners in Wales have also been lending their support to the armed forces, with brothers Scott and Rhys Jenkins telling BBC News of their plans to run a marathon each day for 70 days.<\/p>\n
