Partygoers have helped generate cash for hero soldiers hurt while in service.

Over 300 revellers attended Bromham Farmfest and raised more than £1,500 for Help for Heroes in the process, This Is Wiltshire reports.

The event was organised by 24-year-old architecture student Matthew Radbourne and included ten bands and three DJs performing for attendees who gathered at Abbotswood farm in Bromhom.

Mr Radbourne observed the spectacle ran smoothly and described the acts as “absolutely brilliant”.

“The crowd had a great time, everyone really got stuck in. There was such a fantastic, fun, lively atmosphere,” he explained.

At least £2,300 was generated at the gathering, with £1,500 going towards Help for Heroes and another sizeable chunk being given to Wiltshire Air Ambulance.

A further £2,000 was recently pledged to Help for Heroes after former soldier Phil Zealand set up a charity football match that saw the 1st Battalion Yorkshire Regiment take to the field opposite local Tancaster pub outfit Britannia FC.
