{"id":407,"date":"2010-07-20T17:18:00","date_gmt":"2010-07-20T17:18:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?407"},"modified":"2010-07-20T17:18:00","modified_gmt":"2010-07-20T17:18:00","slug":"online-auction-and-golf-day-to-help-support-soldiers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/online-auction-and-golf-day-to-help-support-soldiers\/","title":{"rendered":"Online auction and golf day &#8216;to help support soldiers&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>An online auction and a golf day fundraiser are being held to help raise funds for soldiers and ex-servicemen.<\/p>\n<p>The events also aim to raise money for the families of those in the military and the proceeds will go to the Coldstream Guards Afghan Fund and ABF The Soldiers&rsquo; Charity, PropertyWeek reports.<\/p>\n<p>Launching today (July 20th), the online auction is expected to collect in the region of &pound;100,000, while the sports outing should prove a high-profile spectacle.<\/p>\n<p>It is taking place at New Zealand Golf Club near Woking on July 22nd and will involve commercial property companies paying &pound;5,000 to take part.<\/p>\n<p>Harry Scope, organiser of the get-together, remarked: &quot;There is lots of interest in what our soldiers are doing. This event is a great way to align the sentiment and become involved.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>A wristband campaign was recently launched in Lincolnshire in an effort to raise cash and drum up support for
