The team behind the show – which is from an organisation called BREAK-POINT – helps show people how they can achieve both personal and professional goals. <\/p>\n
BREAK-POINT was founded by Matthew "Ollie" Ollerton, who presents the TV show, and Jason "Foxy" Fox. They offer military-style training experiences and workshops that are aimed at building both mental and physical strength and discipline. They have also recently launched an online fitness portal that is available to both the public and corporate sectors.<\/p>\n
Mr Ollerton announced the partnership between his organisation and Turn to Starboard at a black tie event in Falmouth earlier this month (December). <\/p>\n
The charity works with veterans who have been affected by military operations, helping to support those who have been physically injured or who have experienced mental trauma. It offers sailing courses and family sailing trips and was chosen for the partnership due to the excellent support it gives ex-servicemen and women. <\/p>\n
Mr Ollerton told the news provider: “We are delighted to announce Turn to Starboard as our chosen charity. The organisation understand the unique demands placed on veterans affected by military operations and are committed to helping individuals re-engage and gain new skills in the marine industry. <\/p>\n
"With our backgrounds in the Special Boat Service, supporting the charity it is a great way for BREAK-POINT to give something back and we are looking forward to announcing exciting new projects and initiatives in the new year.”<\/p>\n
Retired squadron leader and Turn to Starboard founder, Shaun Pascoe said that the charity is "delighted" that it has been chosen to partner with BREAK-POINT and that it is great that the organisation is being recognised for all the hard work it puts in helping those affected by military service. <\/p>\n
