The find has sparked suggestions that the object is a flying saucer embedded in the ice.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Degterev, said: &quot;I found the unique object using the online service of Google Earth in Antarctica. In amongst the endless ice desert, it is the most genuine UFO in its most classic shape.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;I do not presume to know exactly what it is. It is definitely not a polar station nor a plane as there aren't any airplanes or helicopters this big in the world.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Although the satellite image was taken in February 2012, Mr Degterev has recently published it online and it has quickly gone viral.<\/p>\n<p>Some people claim there is already a secret UFO base there, while others believe there is a battle kicking off between humans and aliens near the site.<\/p>\n<p>Anyone can view the object by inputting the coordinates 80&deg;34'08.4&quot;S 30&deg;05'19.3&quot;W into Google Maps.<\/p>\n<p>Skeptics say that the shadow is just caused by a crevice. However, Mr Degterev has disputed this.<\/p>\n<p>He said: &quot;It is definitely not a polar station, nor a plane (as there aren't any airplanes or helicopters this big in the world). There also aren't any ships lost in Antarctica.
