The men were demonstrating outside of the gates of the Hunan Provincial Higher People's court and were photographed by many passers by.<\/p>\n
They were reportedly part of a group of ten hired by Li Tianming, who was involved in a case over a utilities development dispute.<\/p>\n
The protest lasted for around 20 minutes before police came out from the court, asked them to dress and then arrested them.<\/p>\n
Although Li had initially won the case in the Yongzhou Intermediate People's Court, the utilities development company appealed to the Hunan Provincial Higher People's court.<\/p>\n
The case was then sent for retrial and eventually the decision was overturned.<\/p>\n
Unhappy with the decision, Li appealed to a higher court, but failed. He then appealed to the Supreme People's Court but was also unsuccessful.<\/p>\n
He then made an application to the Hunan Provincial People's Procuratorate for prosecutorial supervision, but this was rejected.<\/p>\n
This resulted in Li gathering ten men to conduct the bizarre protest.<\/p>\n
The naked protesters will be detained for 15 to 20 days, while the case is investigated by the Hunan's public security bureau.<\/p>\n
