Hemel Today reports that Stirling Motorsport Management's exciting new initiative will nurture fledgling British motorsport talent, as well as raising awareness of the military charity and the way in which it helps injured service personnel. <\/p>\n
In the year ahead, the #RacingforHeroes team will participate in five championships across the 2015 TOCA package. It added that its real aim for the future is to run an entire team with a driver roster made up in its entirety of military veterans to help promote the work that Help for Heroes does. It wants to see this team compete in what is the very highest level of motorsport available in the UK – The British Touring Car Championship.<\/p>\n
In 2015, the team will compete in The Porsche Carrera Cup (GB), Ginetta GT4 Supercup, Renault Clio Cup UK and the newly formed MSA Formula 4 Championship, after having handpicked five of the most promising young British drivers to make their debuts next year in its cars. <\/p>\n
Founder Peter Thorpe, from Berkhamsted, told the news source: "We as a group are so proud to launch such an exciting team into British Motorsports, in support of Help for Heroes. <\/p>\n
“It’s a unique idea, forging relationships between drivers and sponsors, offering our partners what is the biggest PR and marketing platform in British Motorsport.”<\/p>\n
Bryn Parry, co-founder of Help for Heroes said that as soon as they had talked to the team, it became clear that they shared a passion and a can-do attitude. <\/p>\n
Elsewhere in charity news, proud Army wife Karen Seivwright from Leconfield has just completed a 100km trek across the Sahara for Help for Heroes, the Hull Daily Mail reports. It said that Ms Seivwright has been an army wife for 20 years, and wanted to do something to help out the charity in the good work it does for families. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
