Cats come in a wide range of different colours, but residents of a small town on the coast of Bulgaria have been somewhat baffled recently by the appearance of a cat with a rather unique – and quite sickly – hue.<\/p>\n

Residents were scratching their head when reports started to surface of a cat skulking around the town of Varna, on the Black Sea, with green fur. At first, perhaps the thought that it may be something supernatural would have entered their minds, but locals soon called foul, believing that the poor car had been spray painted by a vandal. <\/p>\n

A Facebook page was set up by Varna residents over the last few weeks in order to catch the criminal who had so callously vandalised the moggy. However, despite such a wide search taking place, there was no clue as to who had attacked the cat. <\/p>\n

In the end, the truth ended up being far less sinister, though. Far from a local having spray painted it, it turned out that the cat had actually been painting itself! According to reports, the animal was tracked to where it had been sleeping, and its choice of bed had been the cause of its weird colour, thanks to the fact it had been sleeping night after night on discarded green paint, painting itself each night. <\/p>\n

In other strange news, a man in the US has been arrested and jailed, after he was alleged to have assaulted his wife…with a McChicken Sandwich. The reason? Apparently he wasn't a fan of that particular menu option. <\/p>\n

Des Moines Police arrested Iowa resident Marvin Tramaine Hill on suspicion of simple assault, after it emerged that he had apparently thrown the sandwich at his wife, before forcibly shoving the bun into her face, which caused her nose to swell up. <\/p>\n
