Matthew Moll, writing for America magazine, explains that as more people have become open to finding love on the internet, it has meant that singletons have nothing to be ashamed of if they want to find a partner this way. <\/p>\n
"As millions more add browsing profiles to blind dates, friend-of-a-friend setups and chance encounters to the list of ways couples meet, the taboo against online dating is evaporating," he says.<\/p>\n
Mr Moll suggests that those registered with online dating sites should always meet a potential partner in a public place on the first face-to-face meeting. <\/p>\n
As well as being the safest option, this means they can make a quick escape if the date doesn’t go too well!<\/p>\n
The How to Become Web Wise blog recently noted that thousands of people all over the world have successfully used social networking and internet dating sites to find ‘the one’.<\/p>\n
