Two car fanatics from Watford are to do their bit for charity by driving a military-stylTwo car fanatics from Watford are to do their bit for charity by driving a military-style van in the Urban Allstar Rally from High Wycombe to Barcelona.<\/p>\n
Michael Ashcroft and Tom Mackey have raised £610 for Help for Heroes so far and are hoping to generate a lot more before taking part in the race in June, the Watford Observer reports.<\/p>\n
Tom’s father Richard said that he is pleased his son is taking part in the event and doing something to help people less fortunate than himself.<\/p>\n
"It’s also a great thing for the image of younger lads, especially when you see images in the paper of people out getting drunk – this is something really good," he told the newspaper.<\/p>\n
The pair have painted their van in military-style camouflage colours and have called themselves the Bomb Squad.<\/p>\n
It seems everyone is gearing up to do their bit to support Help for Heroes, with Forcespenpals.co.uk sponsoring a 311 mile bike ride by 50 soldiers from the UK to Holland aimed at raising money for the charity. van in the Urban Allstar Rally from High Wycombe to Barcelona.<\/p>\n
