There’s not doubt that most people enjoy a good old party, but wouldn’t it be even more There’s not doubt that most people enjoy a good old party, but wouldn’t it be even more enjoyable if you could boogie away safe in the knowledge that you’re raising money for an extremely worthwhile cause?<\/p>\n
And that’s exactly what partygoers in Somerset did recently. <\/p>\n
The Weston, Worle and Somerset Mercury reported that a staggering £4,000 was raised for the Help for Heroes charity by revellers getting their groove on at an evening of dance and music in Nailsea. <\/p>\n
Over 200 people were entertained by the likes of the Bristol Male Voice Choir and dance group Jazz on Tap, helping to surpass the fundraising target of £3,000. <\/p>\n
Iris Clutterbuck, concert organiser, said: "I’m so thankful to everyone who helped out, whether it was performing or donating their money to such a worthwhile cause."<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the Wiltshire Gazette and Herald reported that survival expert Bear Grylls recently took part in a 14-mile run to help raise cash for Help for Heroes. <\/p>\n
