Tasha Smith has written a piece for the Huffington Post in which she detailed some of the most desperate tactics deployed by people who may be shooting themselves in the foot when it comes to attracting a date.<\/p>\n
She told how she frequently cringes when she reads words such as, "I hate writing these things but here goes". After all, this is effectively the equivalent of walking into a bar with a bag on your head, she explained, as while people will look they will not want to talk.<\/p>\n
Ms Smith explained online daters "can smell desperation a mile away", so it is important to play a shrewder game and to give the impression that you are anything but desperate.<\/p>\n
While some people even think they are being smart, the reality is they are being spotted by other online daters as soon as they start talking and classed as one of those people with a bag on their heads.<\/p>\n
