Single soldiers logging on to the internet in the hope of finding love may wish to hear that they might have a spot of competition in the form of Chace Crawford.

Speaking to Now magazine, the Gossip Girl actor said that he would be more than happy to go online to find himself a potential partner, as looking for love in the real world can be difficult.

"I have a bunch of different accounts that no one even knows about," he admitted.

However, Crawford is not the first high-profile star who has suggested that using the internet to find love could be a good move.

British socialite Jemima Khan recently told Vogue magazine that if she were looking for another husband, she would probably log onto the web to do so.

Expressing her amazement at all the internet has to offer, Hugh Grant’s ex-girlfriend stated: "I could probably even find a husband online should I ever want another one."
