Millions of people around the world enjoy online dating sites, but not everything they read or hear is true.<\/p>\n
In fact, online dating has a number of myths that surround it and should, in the main, be completely ignored by those on the search for a partner.<\/p>\n
The Fresno Bee recently put together a guide to some of the main myths in online dating – starting with the idea that it is only for a certain type of person.<\/p>\n
Some believe that turning to the web for a date is something only old, ugly or nerdy people do, but the truth is that it is for everyone.<\/p>\n
Another myth is that everyone on an online dating site is lying. In fact, many are keen to find someone genuine and can be trusted in everything they say.<\/p>\n
Similarly, prospective online daters should not be worried by the idea of the process being too expensive, confined to people of a certain age or carrying an element of danger, as all of these are untrue.
