Clara Bensen and Jeff Wilson, an American couple who met on an online dating site, have gone viral after booking a 21-day trip around Europe despite only knowing each other for a few weeks.<\/p>\n
Freelance writer Bensen published an article about their impetuous journey on Salon and recently spoke to the Metro about her impressions of finding love on the web.<\/p>\n
"I thought I might make a social experiment out of the process by dating a different person each night for a week. I ended up finding Jeff's profile within an hour. I deleted my account a few days later," she explained.<\/p>\n
The couple are still together, suggesting that it is possible to find love online. However, Ms Bensen urged people looking for a partner on dating sites to use their common sense and intuition when picking a mate – particularly if planning to travel to the other side of the world with someone!
