{"id":25,"date":"2009-12-16T16:43:50","date_gmt":"2009-12-16T16:43:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?25"},"modified":"2009-12-16T16:43:50","modified_gmt":"2009-12-16T16:43:50","slug":"troops-cant-wait-to-get-back-to-helmand","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/troops-cant-wait-to-get-back-to-helmand\/","title":{"rendered":"Troops &#8216;can&#8217;t wait to get back to Helmand&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A Staveley woman raising money for the brave boys and girls fighting in Afghanistan has revealed how soldiers currently on leave can&rsquo;t wait to get back to Helmand and support the troops still there.<\/p>\n<p>Sally Brockbank recently held a dinner for infantrymen from Kendal, Windermere and Staveley from the Duke of Lancaster regiment and told the Westmorland Gazette that they are itching to get back in their gear and take the Taliban down.<\/p>\n<p>She said each and every one of them are brave individuals and have 100 per cent belief that beating the Taliban is a job worth doing.<\/p>\n<p>I held a buffet at my home for a few of them and they admitted to me they&rsquo;d had some near dos and are all lucky to be alive.
