{"id":2438,"date":"2013-10-03T16:59:03","date_gmt":"2013-10-03T16:59:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?2438"},"modified":"2013-10-03T16:59:03","modified_gmt":"2013-10-03T16:59:03","slug":"grandmas-ashes-found-in-off-licence","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/grandmas-ashes-found-in-off-licence\/","title":{"rendered":"Grandma&#8217;s ashes found in off licence"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The owner of an off licence in the US got the shock of his life recently when he came across a bag containing a woman's ashes.<\/p>\n<p>Charlie Nguyen, who runs Charlie's Liquor and Smoke Shop in Wichita, Kansas uncovered the remains during a shift and immediately noticed they were labelled 'Grandma'.<\/p>\n<p>A note went on to reveal the contents were the 'remains of Helen K Dapron' and said she passed away in June 2010.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Nguyen went to the trouble of looking through CCTV tapes in a bid to identify the person who left the ashes in his shop, but his search drew a blank.<\/p>\n<p>He told KSN: &quot;Just like that, people leave phones, keys, stuff like that all the time, but I've never seen anything like this.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>The search goes on for the family that owns the ashes and Mr Nguyen said he will not rest until he has done so as it is a very important matter.<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ADNFCR-2867-ID-801645662-ADNFCR\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.directnews.co.uk\/feedtrack\/justcopyright.gif?feedid=2867&amp;itemid=801645662\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A bag of ashes has been discovered in a US off licence.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4254,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2438","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-lads-mag-for-armed-forces"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
