A group from New Zealand have played a prank on their friend that has now gone viral – a trick that could be a dream come true for many people.

Uploaded to YouTube by user LittleJohnynNZ, the seven-minute video depicts the gang going to work to install kegs of beer to every water line in the house of their friend Russ, The Metro reports.

Once successfully fitted, they retire to a nearby building to watch the entertainment unfold via the multitude of small cameras they also installed in their mate's home.

Russ returns with his girlfriend only to find he no longer has any water, but has plenty of frosty beer, quite literally, on tap.

Exclaiming "What the hell!" upon first discovering his home has been transformed into a brewery, the joke is quickly revealed to Russ when he investigates beneath his property only for his friends to all jump out and surprise him a second time.
