A man in Canada has gone through with a bizarre tradition that involved him drinking a human toe that had been dipped in whisky.<\/p>\n

The Yukon ritual was performed by a man in Dawson City who downed the body part as part of a glass also containing the spirit.<\/p>\n

It has certainly not gone down particularly well online, with many people around the world expressing just how queasy they felt after hearing the news.<\/p>\n

The idea of the tradition is to drink the whisky without swallowing the toe, but those who do ingest the body part are typically given a penalty.<\/p>\n

In the case in Dawson City, which occurred at the Downtown Hotel, the man accidentally swallowed the toe and was forced to pay a fine of $500 (£307).<\/p>\n
