{"id":2362,"date":"2013-08-20T16:53:49","date_gmt":"2013-08-20T16:53:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?2362"},"modified":"2013-08-20T16:53:49","modified_gmt":"2013-08-20T16:53:49","slug":"one-in-seven-britons-not-with-their-true-love","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/one-in-seven-britons-not-with-their-true-love\/","title":{"rendered":"One in seven Britons &#8216;not with their true love&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As many as one in seven people in the UK is involved in a relationship with someone they do not think is their true love, according to the latest research.<\/p>\n<p>A study carried out by Siemens Festival Nights found some 17 per cent of the 2,000 people it surveyed even believe they have met the love of their life since they got together with their long-term partner, while 46 per cent suggested they would be prepared to leave their spouse in order to follow their heart.<\/p>\n<p>Men were found to be more loyal to their lover than women are, with 37 per cent of chaps admitting they would stay with their wife or girlfriend for their sake.<\/p>\n<p>Claire Jarvis, director of communications at Siemens, said: &quot;What is alarming is that so many people claim to be in long term relationships or even married to someone who isn&rsquo;t the true love of their life. And if there are people out there who are genuinely in love with two people at the same time, they must face a huge dilemma.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>More than half of those who were polled in the research said they have felt at various times in their lives as though they are in love, but on reflection now realise they were not. It was also concluded that the average person dates four or five partners before finding the one.<\/p>\n<p>One good idea for people who are not happy is to turn to online dating websites, which can help bring them together with someone who is like-minded and looking for the same things in life. There is no point in persisting with an unhappy relationship when true love may be just a click away.<\/p>\n<p>The Siemens study found that the typical Briton will fall in love twice in their life, so if you feel you are someone who has yet to find that truly special partner then it might be time to do something about it.<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ADNFCR-2867-ID-801627452-ADNFCR\"
