{"id":2338,"date":"2013-08-06T17:03:11","date_gmt":"2013-08-06T17:03:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?2338"},"modified":"2013-08-06T17:03:11","modified_gmt":"2013-08-06T17:03:11","slug":"golf-club-to-host-charity-day-for-help-for-heroes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/golf-club-to-host-charity-day-for-help-for-heroes\/","title":{"rendered":"Golf club to host charity day for Help for Heroes"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A number of golfers from the north of England will soon take part in an event being run at a Catterick golf course in aid of Help for Heroes.<\/p>\n<p>Catterick Golf Club is hosting a charity day on September 6th and all the proceeds will go to the military cause, reports the Northern Echo.<\/p>\n<p>John Ross, chairman of the golf club, said there were no doubts that Help for Heroes was the right charity to support through this event.<\/p>\n<p>&quot;Lying at the heart of the garrison, it is not surprising that there are quite a few retired and serving military personnel among our members,&quot; he explained.<\/p>\n<p>A similar charity day was held by the club last year and it raised almost &pound;12,000, with that amount being donated to the Herriot Hospice Care in Northallerton.<\/p>\n<p>There was also a special captain's event put on by the club in the recent past and that raised &pound;5,000 for Help for Heroes.<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ADNFCR-2867-ID-801621700-ADNFCR\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.directnews.co.uk\/feedtrack\/justcopyright.gif?feedid=2867&amp;itemid=801621700\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Golfers will come together to raise money for charity.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4354,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[6],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2338","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-support-soldiers"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
