British Cycling has joined forces with Help for Heroes in a bid to support the charity and all of the people it aims to help.<\/p>\n
The sporting organisation is aiming to get involved in the work the group does, which primarily involves helping injured and sick ex-servicemen and women.<\/p>\n
According to British Cycling, the sport can be a key recovery aid for injured soldiers, and its programmed such as Battle Back are designed to help them, reports the Salisbury Journal.<\/p>\n
John Mills, director of coaching, education and development at British Cycling, said: "Sport can play a key role in aiding the recovery of our heroes and we are proud to work with the Battle Back programme, which has made a real difference."<\/p>\n
One inspirational story for wounded soldiers to admire is that of Jon-Allan Butterworth, who lost his left arm in service but has now become a world champion, record holder and three-time Paralympic silver-medallist.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
