{"id":2278,"date":"2013-06-27T17:04:14","date_gmt":"2013-06-27T17:04:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?2278"},"modified":"2013-06-27T17:04:14","modified_gmt":"2013-06-27T17:04:14","slug":"kitten-rescued-after-week-behind-car-dashboard","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/kitten-rescued-after-week-behind-car-dashboard\/","title":{"rendered":"Kitten rescued after week behind car dashboard"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A kitten has been dramatically rescued from a car, after spending a week behind its dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>Carpenter Chris Bale, 46, noticed squeaking and purring noises coming from his vehicle, which he initially believed must have been a fault that required repair.<\/p>\n<p>He asked mechanic James Blewitt to take a look at the car, who then found the eight-week-old cat hiding behind the dashboard.<\/p>\n<p>Technician Paul Washington explained: &quot;We couldn't really see anything, so we shone a torch up into the gap in the dashboard and that's when we saw the tips of two tiny ears.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>He added that he &quot;couldn't believe it&quot; when it was realised that a kitten had been hiding in the car.<\/p>\n<p>The feline was found to have spent more than a week stuck inside the car, where it was not able to access food, water or light at any point, meaning it later had to be treated for malnourishment.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ADNFCR-2867-ID-801605292-ADNFCR\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.directnews.co.uk\/feedtrack\/justcopyright.gif?feedid=2867&amp;itemid=801605292\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A motorist was frustrated by the purring sound of his car, until he realised it was a kitten.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4414,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2278","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-lads-mag-for-armed-forces"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
