{"id":2241,"date":"2013-06-10T17:04:00","date_gmt":"2013-06-10T17:04:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?2241"},"modified":"2013-06-10T17:04:00","modified_gmt":"2013-06-10T17:04:00","slug":"male-train-drivers-adopt-skirts-as-new-uniform","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/male-train-drivers-adopt-skirts-as-new-uniform\/","title":{"rendered":"Male train drivers adopt skirts as new uniform"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Train passengers in Sweden have been met by an unusual sight in recent days, after a group of male drivers opted to turn up for work wearing skirts.<\/p>\n<p>A total of 12 drivers who work on the Roslagsbanan line in the Scandinavian country were told they could not wear shorts as part of their uniform this summer.<\/p>\n<p>With temperatures in the country sometimes uncomfortably high at this time of the year, the professionals have decided to turn to skirts, which are within the rules.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Akersten, one of the drivers, told the BBC: &quot;It's very warm weather here so we would like to wear shorts, but if we can't then we have skirts for comfort.&quot;<\/p>\n<p>Bosses at Arriva have already declared shorts are off limits for the train drivers, and the ban remains in place despite the unusual ploy by workers.<\/p>\n<p>Mr Akersten went on to reveal that no passengers have yet passed comment on his attire.<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ADNFCR-2867-ID-801597083-ADNFCR\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.directnews.co.uk\/feedtrack\/justcopyright.gif?feedid=2867&amp;itemid=801597083\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A group of men who drive trains for a living have started turning up to work in skirts.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4451,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v21.5 -
