Whether single soldiers are meeting people online or in a face-to-face environment, it is important to remember that first impressions matter, according to one expert.

Dr Terri Orburch, also known as the Love Doctor, says: "No matter what the setting, it’s important to remember that first impressions do matter because they set relationships into motion."

"The way to ensure a first impression is a good one is to prepare properly."

She suggests it is wise to have a few conversation starters on hand, whether single soldiers are dating in an internet setting or meeting in person.

Kurt Avish, writing for Island Crisis, recently suggested that single soldiers will know when they have met their soul mate, as they will complement their personality in every way.
