{"id":2090,"date":"2013-03-20T17:02:53","date_gmt":"2013-03-20T17:02:53","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/p=?2090"},"modified":"2013-03-20T17:02:53","modified_gmt":"2013-03-20T17:02:53","slug":"elephant-seal-stops-the-traffic-in-brazil","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forcespenpals.net\/gb\/news\/elephant-seal-stops-the-traffic-in-brazil\/","title":{"rendered":"Elephant seal &#8216;stops the traffic in Brazil&#8217;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Motorists in the Brazilian resort of Balneario Camboriu were stunned recently when they were forced to come to a halt in order to let an elephant seal cross the road.<\/p>\n<p>The giant creature jumped out of the Atlantic Ocean in order to take a stroll through the middle of a shopping district of the town.<\/p>\n<p>He was photographed making his way across a zebra crossing, indicating he even had respect for the Highway Code during his enthralling jaunt.<\/p>\n<p>Many motorists were annoyed by the delays caused by the gigantic mammal, but after several hours on land, the seal returned to the sea.<\/p>\n<p>Dozens of snaps of the animal were taken as it wandered through the streets and across roads, often in front of oncoming traffic.<\/p>\n<p>In one particular case, it took more than an hour to cross a road, leading the driver stuck behind it to become increasingly irate, while passers simply stopped to witness the extraordinary sight.<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ADNFCR-2867-ID-801559698-ADNFCR\" src=\"http:\/\/feeds.directnews.co.uk\/feedtrack\/justcopyright.gif?feedid=2867&amp;itemid=801559698\"\/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Brazilian motorists got the shock of their life recently.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"author":1,"featured_media":4602,"comment_status":"open","ping_status":"closed","sticky":false,"template":"","format":"standard","meta":{"_et_pb_use_builder":"","_et_pb_old_content":"","_et_gb_content_width":"","_jetpack_memberships_contains_paid_content":false,"footnotes":""},"categories":[4],"tags":[],"class_list":["post-2090","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-lads-mag-for-armed-forces"],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.2 -
