People in London looked on in amazement this morning (March 5th) as a man dangled from one of the capsules on the London Eye with only a burning rope keeping him from the ground below.

Jonathan Goodwin admitted he was "pushing the limits" by tying himself to the rope and turning upside down 200ft above the South Bank.

With seconds to spare – and as the flames began to surround his jacket – he managed to free himself and retreat to safety.

The incredible stunt was filmed for the new show on Watch entitled The Incredible Mr Goodwin, which is due to air for the first time on Thursday.

Speaking afterwards, Mr Goodwin said: "Danger is a part of my profession and the adrenaline I get from each stunt I do drives me on to the next."

He added that he hoped he had given everybody present a lasting memory – something we are certain he has achieved with the shocking stunt.
